TEXAS HEALTH CARE CRISIS
Texas has the highest rate of non-insured in the nation at a staggering 18%.
Medical Impact of Lacking Health Insurance
According to the Texas Medical Association, the uninsured are up to four times less likely to have a regular source of health care and are more likely to die from health-related problems. They are much less likely to receive needed medical care, even for symptoms that can have serious health consequences if not treated. About one in six Texans lives at or below the poverty level; for children, it's nearly one in five. Extending health coverage to the uninsured could improve their overall health by 7 to 8 percent.
OUR VISION
Letβs face it, the cost of medical care without insurance is out of reach for many people.
My interest in serving the healthcare needs of the uninsured found the right partner in the Irving DFW Indian Lions Club. Together they were able to open 3 non profit clinics in the metroplex, now there are 5.
Our vision is to provide attainable and affordable medical care. In my private practice, I hear stories of people who come in less often than they should or simply cannot afford even the most basic care. Our doctors provide primary care as well as some important specialities.
Preventive medicine and primary care is key to promoting better health in the community. This is the secret to bringing more happiness and significant savings in healthcare spending.
